End of December 2014 Semester

Today marks the end of the semester for December 2014 for me. I have turned in all assignments for Statistics, Accounting 101, and Intro to Marketing.  I have to get at least a D in Statistics and a C in Accounting and Marketing since they are core classes. Per the grades, I have the D in Statistics already and have one more assignment that has not been graded. I just might pull off a C.  I did not do so well on the Final for the class. I honestly was completely lost.

For Accounting and Marketing, I am waiting on the Final Projects to be graded. For each class, I need at least a 50 out of a 100 to get enough points for a C.  My midterm grades really hurt me in these classes.

Grade Update:

Statistics:
  • Discussion Forum 6                                     100
  • Written Assignment 5                                    97.5
  • Written Assignment 6                                    82.5
  • Final Exam                                                    35 ( I know it is horrible)
  • Final Project   - the difference between a C and a D
Marketing:
  • Discussion Forum 5                                     78
  • Written Assignment 4                                   80
  • Written Assignment 5                                   80
  • Written Assignment 6                                   85
  • Written Assignment 7                                 100
  • Final Project (Need a 55 for a C)
Accounting 101:
  • Written Assignment 7                                  70 - late
  • Written Assignment 8                                  70 - late
  • Written Assignment 9                                  70 - late
  • Written Assignment 10                                78 - late
  • Written Assignment 11                                92 - slightly late
  • Final Project (Need 50 for a C)
I can only try harder next semester. I really want to do well and I have a few ideas on how to better keep myself on task.  I need to spend a bit more time with the books and less with everything else.  I am only human and no matter what there are only 24 hours in a day and to function I must sleep at least 6 of those each day if not more.  I must get the reading done and the assignments in on time.

I hope everyone has enjoyed reading about this first semester in my journey to become an accountant. Please leave a comment to let me know what you think.

Next Semester starts: March 2, 2015 - Accounting 102, Macroeconomics, and Managerial Communication.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
